11:03 PM: Abraham Attah and Jacob Tremblay need to stand on boxes to reach the microphone as they present Live Action Short Film. Too cute!

8:31 PM: Chris Rock addressed the #OscarsSoWhite controversy head on in his opening monologue! The comedian called it the White People's Choice Awards! He joked that if the host was nominated he wouldn't have a job. Rock admitted he thought about quitting, but realized the show would go on anyway… and he didn't want to lose another job to Kevin Hart!
Rock noted that nobody protested the lack of black nominees in past years because they had more pressing things to worry about like being lynched.
He also took a hit at Jada Pinkett Smith, who was vocal about boycotting the show. He said Jada boycotting the Oscars would be like him boycotting Rihanna's panties… an invitation he wouldn't turn down!
8:30 PM: The Oscars kicks off with a retrospect of clips from the films of 2015... we are talking everything from "The Danish Girl" to "Ted 2"!
