James Corden's Passionate Message About London Following Attacks
Late-night host James Corden has a strong message to spread as he preps to air his London-based episodes of “The Late Late Show.”
While walking the streets of London, he said in a teaser, “I'm so proud to be broadcasting here from my hometown, proud to show off its beauty, its diversity, and its stoic British determination to let nothing or anybody stand in our way. This is not a country that feels afraid.”
As for his decision to go on with his planned episodes after the London Bridge attacks, he explained, "Some people might say it's a strange time to do a variety show from this city; I couldn't disagree more. Just over there is the House of Parliament, a building that represents democracy, something the people who carried out this attack hate. We want the stupidest, most fun-packed shows we've ever made for you to celebrate London and Britain and everything it has to offer, and you know what? The people who carried out that attack would hate that, too.”
The episodes, which will feature Tom Cruise, Kit Harington, David Beckham, Nicole Kidman and Russell Brand, will air tonight through Thursday. A new Carpool Karaoke segment with Ed Sheeran will also be featured in one of the episodes.
