Bethenny Frankel’s On-Again/Off-Again BF Found Dead at Trump Tower

Dennis Shields, the on-and-off boyfriend of Bethenny Frankel, was found dead at his Trump Tower apartment today, reports the New York Post. He was 51.

Sources say the finance exec thought he was overdosing on prescription drugs and asked his assistant to administer the live-saving medication Narcan around 9 a.m.

Despite reportedly receiving the medication, used to counteract opioids, Shields passed out and was later pronounced dead.

The NYPD confirmed to “Extra” that police responded to a 911 call of an unconscious male. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 51-year-old male unconscious and unresponsive. EMS responded and pronounced the male deceased on scene. The authorities have not released the man's identity.

TMZ sources say it may have been oxycodone, but “Extra” has learned the NYC Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death and the investigation is ongoing.

Shields had been dating Frankel, of “Real Housewives of New York,” since 2016.

This past May, Bethenny opened up to Steve Harvey about their relationship. “I've been with someone on and off for years,” she said. “It's like a partnership where if we're not being teammates and it's not working, and one man is down, then the other man is down. We're trying to really kind of be good partners and be good teammates and I think relationships oddly are – and this sounds cold – but a little bit like business.”
