Could Kim Kardashian's Self-Imposed Selfie Exile Cost Her $1 Million a Month?
If rumors are true that she will quit social media, Kim Kardashian might be looking at losing $1 million a month, People magazine reports.
After being bound, gagged, and robbed at gunpoint at the No Address Hotel Monday in Paris, Kardashian has already been spending up to $100,000 per day on enhanced security. On top of that, her reported skittishness to continue making posts to social media could cost her dearly.
Celeb financial advisor Samuel Rad explained to People that Kardashian's brand makes at least a million per month in general posts, and even more from special, paid posts.
On the bright side, if Kim comes around and returns to social media with a vengeance, Rad thinks the boomerang effect will actually make her initial absence a positive, saying, "I think what's going to happen is the first post she's going to put up after not having posted for [a while], it's going to get so many more followers and hits. I think that it might actually end up helping her. Especially if Kim positions [her return to social media] correctly… I think it could be a really big moneymaker for her brand.”
When can we expect Kim to begin expressing her selfie again?
There is no telling when Kim may return to normal, with a second source saying to People, "She has no plans to work in the near future. She just wants to stay home with her kids. She realizes that she has lived in a bubble. She could have never imagined being robbed like this. She is now more worried than ever about protecting the kids."
