Tom Cruise's 'Mission: Impossible — Rogue Nation' Grosses $121 Million Worldwide in First Weekend
Tom Cruise's new film “Mission: Impossible — Rogue Nation” dominated the box office with $56 million in its first weekend in the United States.
The fifth film in the "Mission Impossible" franchise also grossed another $65 million internationally.
"Vacation" took the second spot in the U.S. box office with $14.9 million, followed by "Ant-Man" with $12.6 million in third. “Minions" and “Pixels" rounded out the top five with $12.2 million and 10.4 million respectively.
After the huge success at the box office, Paramount Pictures Vice Chairman Rob Moore showed much enthusiasm over the upcoming sixth film. "We're very happy to be developing this movie with Tom. There's no question that Ethan Hunt deserves another film.”
