Eagles of Death Metal Singer Speaks About Bataclan Massacre
Jesse Hughes, the frontman of tragic rock band Eagles of Death Metal, is speaking out for the first time about the massacre he witnessed in the Bataclan in Paris, which unfolded during his band's show.
Hughes, speaking to Vice in a video interview to be released in full next week, says, "Several people hid in our dressing room. The killers were able to get in and killed every one of them — except for a kid who was hiding under my leather jacket."
Hughes feels one reason so many people died in the attack is that many refused to leave their dying friends. "So many people put themselves in front of people."
In the emotional interview, teased in the video below, Hughes was on the verge of tears while describing the horror.
