Blood Feud: Donald Trump Tries to Explain His Controversial Megyn Kelly Comments
Donald Trump decided to phone-in to the "Today" show to clarify his recent controversial comments on FOX News anchor Megyn Kelly.
After the GOP debate, The Donald lashed out at Megyn by telling CNN on Friday, "You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her — whatever."
Trump told Savannah Guthrie this morning, "This wasn't meant to be much of an insult. If I had said that, it would have been inappropriate."
"I didn't even finish the answer, because I wanted to get on the next point. If I finished it, I was going to say ears or nose, because that's just a common statement — blood is pouring out of your ears," Donald said about his comments.
Megyn hasn't shared her thoughts on Trump's CNN comments, but she did discuss the GOP debate during an interview with FOX News on Friday. "He felt attacked. It wasn't an attack... he'll get over that and we'll be fine.”
When she was asked about Trump's criticism of her after the debate, she said, "It's okay. I'm a big girl, I can take it.”
Since the debate, TV execs are reportedly trying to lure her away from FOX. An insider told Daily News, "Because of her commanding presence at the debate, Megyn's the hottest property in TV news for now and into the future.”
