New Details on Debbie Reynolds & Carrie Fisher’s Funeral
On Friday, Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher were laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
During the funeral, Debbie's son Todd Fisher was spotted carrying Carrie's ashes in an urn, which was shaped like a Prozac pill. Debbie was buried along with some of Carrie's ashes. TMZ recently reported that Fisher requested to be cremated while Debbie wanted her body to be buried.
Along with Todd, Carrie's daughter Billie Lourd and her rumored boyfriend Taylor Lautner were in attendance. During the funeral procession, two police officers on motorcycles accompanied the guests as two hearses drove through the cemetery.
The burial comes just one day after big-name stars, including Meryl Streep, Meg Ryan and George Lucas, came out to pay their last respects at an intimate memorial.
A source told People magazine about the memorial, "Billie wanted the people her mother loved to gather in that living room one last time.”
Debbie and Carrie's family are also reportedly planning a more public memorial, but a date has not been set. A source told E! News, "We'll have quite an event. Anybody who loved Carrie and worked with Carrie will be invited to that big event."
Last week, Carrie passed away at the age of 60 after suffering a massive heart attack on a plane. Debbie died one day later after suffering a stroke at Todd's home in Beverly Hills.
