Cardi B Surrenders to Police After Strip-Club Altercation
On Monday morning, rapper Cardi B turned herself in to police in NYC.
A source told Page Six, “Cardi is heading down to the precinct to claim her name and innocence.”
Cardi B was charged with two counts of reckless endangerment and one count of third-degree assault after facing allegations that she tossed a hookah pipe and drink glasses at two bartenders in a Queens strip club in late August.
TMZ reports Cardi had her mugshot taken and she was fingerprinted.
Her lawyer shared with reporters, “We're aware of no evidence that she caused anybody any harm at the club that night. We expect that the matter is going to be resolved expeditiously.”
The lawyers of the alleged victims told TMZ, “She continues to threaten them and clearly thinks her celebrity status is going to get her out of this. But it doesn't matter if her name is Cardi B or Carl B... if she commits violent assaults she will be brought to justice."
Cardi didn't seem fazed by the allegations — she was spotted flashing a smile after her trip to the police station.
Cardi's next court appearance has been scheduled for October 29.
