New Video and Details Emerge of Las Vegas Gunman’s Reported Girlfriend
Marilou Danley is the most mysterious and most talked about woman in the U.S. today.
The reported girlfriend of Las Vegas gunman Stephen Paddock landed in L.A. today, and NBC 4 was there to capture her arrival on video. Watch it here.
Her sisters recently spoke out to Seven Network Australia, claiming Paddock may have sent Danley away to the Philippines to avoid her interfering with his planning.
The women, who live in Australia, hid their identities. One sister said, "I know that she don't know anything as well, like us. She was sent away. She was sent away so that she will be not there to interfere with what he's planning.”
She continued, "In that sense, I thank him for sparing my sister's life," adding that Marilou was “really in love with Steve."
The woman added,"Of all the people that they have interviewed... no one can put the puzzles together — no one — except Marilou, because Steve is not here to talk anymore. Only Marilou can maybe help… If Marilou was there, this, maybe, as well, didn't happen because she won't let it happen.”
On Tuesday, Las Vegas Sheriff Joe Lombardo told reporters at a press conference that Danley is a person of interest and confirmed that investigators hoped to speak with her. She has not been arrested and it is unknown if she has agreed to speak to authorities.
Late Sunday night, Las Vegas was the site of the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history. Fifty-nine people were killed while attending the final night of the Route 91 Harvest festival, which also left more than 500 injured.
