The 'Empire' Actor Who Was Almost in 'Clueless'
On Friday night in L.A., BuzzFeed brought together "Clueless" castmates Stacey Dash and Elisa Donovan for a BuzzFeed Throwback Theater event in which the women reminisced about the film in honor of the '90s classic's 20th anniversary.
One of the juiciest bits of info they let slip is that Terrence Howard was in the running for the role of "Murray," Stacey's character "Dionne's" love interest!
"It was between Terrence Howard and Donald Faison, but Donald and I had better chemistry," Dash confirmed.
Also in the interview, the women dished about all the fun fashions from the film, and about when they realized "Clueless" might not be a below-the-radar teen comedy that came and went.
"It wasn't until the MTV premiere where I realized, 'Oh, wow ...this is going to be huge,'" Dash remembered. Donovan recalls telling the film's star, Alicia Silverstone, "You're going to be REALLY famous."
