Dazzling: Janet Jackson Receives Ultimate Icon: Music Dance Visual Award from BET
Eighties and Nineties superstar Janet Jackson, on the threshold of a major career comeback (with the single "No Sleeep," the upcoming album "Conversations in a Cafe," and her "Unbreakable World Tour" kicking off in August), made an ethereally beautiful appearance at the BET Awards Sunday night.

Janet, who skipped the red carpet, showed up on stage to accept BET's first-ever Ultimate Icon: Music Visual Dance Award, following an elaborate dance tribute by Tinashe, Jason Derulo, and Ciara.
"It's been a very long journey to this moment... my heart is so full. Thank you, God, for making everything, anything, possible. I'm so grateful for the support you've always given me, to my beautiful mother and my beautiful father." Janet's parents were in the audience to see her receive the honor.
