Dazzling: Janet Jackson Receives Ultimate Icon: Music Dance Visual Award from BET
Eighties and Nineties superstar Janet Jackson, on the threshold of a major career comeback (with the single "No Sleeep," the upcoming album "Conversations in a Cafe," and her "Unbreakable World Tour" kicking off in August), made an ethereally beautiful appearance at the BET Awards Sunday night.

She had the longest hair she's ever sported, but her acceptance speech was short and sweet.
Janet, who skipped the red carpet, showed up on stage to accept BET's first-ever Ultimate Icon: Music Visual Dance Award, following an elaborate dance tribute by Tinashe, Jason Derulo, and Ciara.
"It's been a very long journey to this moment... my heart is so full. Thank you, God, for making everything, anything, possible. I'm so grateful for the support you've always given me, to my beautiful mother and my beautiful father." Janet's parents were in the audience to see her receive the honor.
"Extra" Special Correspondent Tanika Ray caught up with the big stars of the 2015 BET Awards as they got hyped for Janet Jackson's return to the spotlight, and the tribute performance for her.
Tanika chatted with Ciara, Zendaya, Gabrielle Union, Kelly Rowland, Ne-Yo, Floyd Mayweather, Sanaa Lathan, Amber Rose, Blac Chyna, Barry Gordy, and Smokey Robinson. Check it out!
