Lamar Odom Will Not Be Charged with Drug Possession in Brothel OD
Just a week after Lamar Odom was released from the hospital, he received even more good news. The basketballer will not face drug charges relating to his being found unconscious at a Las Vegas brothel last October.
A spokesperson for the Nye Country District Attorney's office explained why Odom is not being charged, even though he had cocaine in his system at the time of his hospitalization. “Evidence showed Mr. Odom had metabolized cocaine in his system while he was present in Nye County in October of 2015, he was not found in the possession of cocaine and it is unlikely it could established beyond a reasonable doubt he actually ingested, or was impaired by, the drug during the time he was within the jurisdiction of Nye County.”
Odom can now focus his attention on recovering at a private rehabilitation facility.
