Pitbull is a Hall of Famer!
When he's not guest-starring on “Empire,” or rapping his way to the top of the charts, Pitbull is all about helping children.
He opened a charter school for grades 6-12 in Miami's Little Havana neighborhood in 2013 and recently broke ground on another charter school in Las Vegas. In his native South Florida, Pitbull, whose real name is Armando Christian Pérez, is also a huge supporter of the Nicklaus Children's Hospital, hence, his induction into the Ambassador David M. Walters International Pediatric Hall of Fame at the Miami Children's Health Foundation's Diamond Ball: Diamonds are Forever event.
Eight hundred guests came together to cheer Pitbull as he accepted the honor. Together, they raised $3 million for the hospital in just one night!
