Duggar-versy! Jim Bob Duggar Speaks Out on Petition to Cancel '19 Kids & Counting'
“19 Kids & Counting” patriarch Jim Bob Duggar had a few words for protesters who want his successful TLC show taken off the air.
LGBTQ activists recently accused the Duggars of being anti-gay, and a Change.org petition was created, asking TLC to cancel the show and to "end LGBTQ fear mongering by the Duggars."
At a Booster Banquet at Hannibal-LaGrange University last month, Jim Bob told reporters, "They won't succeed. Our show is the No. 1 show on TLC. It's a small group creating this fuss. All it has done is give us more exposure. We've gained 50,000 Facebook fans last week. God is expanding our borders through the national media.”
Jim Bob added, "We love everybody, but we don't always agree with them."
Duggar supporters also recently launched a counter petition urging TLC to keep the show on the air.
According to Huffington Post, a TLC spokesperson would not comment on whether the network ever took the petition to cancel "19 Kids and Counting" into consideration.
