Jason Momoa on Telling Wife Lisa Bonet She Was His Crush
Jason Momoa and Alfre Woodard are headed to Apple TV+ for the new post-apocalyptic series “See.”
In “See,” their characters live 600 years in the future, in a world where a virus has wiped out most of the human race. The population of just 2 million people is blind and living in a technology-free society until twin babies are born with sight.
“Extra's” Renee Bargh caught up with the stars!
Jason spoke about playing a blind character, saying, “The challenges were delightful because it's our job and we got to learn all the things that we've never experienced before. It's the great part about being an actor… We had all these professionals teach us all different types of things we still carry and have things we probably use but just the idea of exercising other senses and not depending on vision is amazing.”
Alfre explained the relationship between her character Paris and Jason's character Baba Voss, saying, “Without giving away our origin story, which you will find by about Episode 6, people tribe up. Not out of DNA, but they tribe up out of necessity, shared ways of being in the world. There's common goals and safety and continuity in why we get together in the tribes, post-apocalyptically.”
Jason also dished on his relationship with wife Lisa Bonet, and how soon he told her that she was his crush. Renee pointed out there was still hope she might marry her own crush, Brad Pitt.
Momoa told her, “Wait until after you have two babies. Wait until you hook it, then tell him.” The actor admitted he did not tell Lisa on their first date, “No, no, no… Definitely after the second baby came out. I was like, 'I've got something to tell you — I'm a stalker!'”
Jason, aka Aquaman, also talked about his stepdaughter Zoe Kravitz landing her own superhero role as Catwoman.
