Josh Murray Reacts to Ex-Fiancée Amanda Stanton’s Return to ‘Bachelor in Paradise'
“Bachelor” Nation's Josh Murray joined “Extra's” online correspondent Hannah Kahn on today's “The Bachelorette” recap.
Josh famously got engaged to Amanda Stanton after falling in love on “Bachelor in Paradise," but they called off their engagement early this year. After their split, Amanda has decided to return to the show — she is part of the new cast that was formally announced today. Josh shared, “Listen, I wish her nothing but the best. I hope she finds somebody, and I hope it works out.”
Murray also wants the best for her kids, Kinsley and Charlie, who don't have a relationship with him nowadays. “Hopefully, everything will be good with them.” He added, "It's tough, you kinda gotta stay away, because I was a big part of their lives, they were a big part of my life, and that's very tough for me. That was the toughest part in the relationship for me in wanting to leave and staying for a while with the kids.”
Josh and Amanda are not on good terms, but it isn't all negative. He said, “Hopefully she can continue to do what she wants to do.” When was the last time they spoke? He revealed, “She was in Atlanta about three weeks ago. She was there for a couple days, and now she's going on 'Paradise.'”
Josh isn't heading back to the show, but is not ruling out a return to reality TV, saying, “I did it twice, and I got engaged both times, which is amazing. It's just very tough because you just gotta trust that that person's gonna be themselves off camera, too, and that's tough to judge.”
“I can never close any doors, but I'm focused on myself and just finding me, and hanging around positive and good people,” Murray reiterated.
