The Latest on Mariah Carey's Health Following Hospitalization
Poor Mariah Carey was hospitalized on Wednesday after coming down with what turned out to be a bad case of the flu.
TMZ reports she was treated with fluids and vitamins, and it looks like she's feeling better already.
Carey posted a message on Twitter telling fans, “Thank you #lambily for all the well wishes, I'm feeling much better now! Go and get your flu shots!”
Her rep also released a statement to Entertainment Weekly, explaining, “Unfortunately, Mariah had been feeling under the weather with the flu over the past few days and was fighting it to the best of her abilities. She is doing well now and will be performing as scheduled this weekend. She thanks her lambs for the continued support and well wishes.”
A day before her hospitalization, Mariah told "Extra's" AJ Calloway at the Pier 1 Pop-up event that she wasn't feeling well. Watch!
The superstar has a lot on her plate this month — she is scheduled to perform at Hot 97's Hot for the Holidays show in New Jersey on Saturday and a five-day holiday series at NYC's Beacon Theater next week.
