'The Voice' Finale! Hear the Finalists' Original Songs, and See Their Music Videos
For the first time, “The Voice” contestants debuted new singles at the finale… and they didn't disappoint!
Keep reading to get the scoop on the new tunes and music videos from Team Blake's Craig Wayne Boyd, and Team Adam's Damien, Chris Jamison and Matt McAndrew.
Blake told us on the red carpet that the decision to give up the song “My Baby's Got a Smile on Her Face” to Craig was an easy one.
“Looking back I don't know if I'm one of those guys who really believes in 'meant to be's' but this may have been one, because I've been carrying that song around and I've always thought it was a hit song… Once it got cut I could really see [Craig] get into it and go 'This is my song.' It was cool as a coach to sit back and watch that happen.”
As far as the music video was concerned, Craig called the sexy romp with a model a “blast.” He added with a laugh, “Come on, I'm a single guy.”

Damien offered up an emotional and soulful song called “Soldier.” He told ExtraTV.com that the song is about “being strong” and being a soldier or the support system for a loved one.
He added that he enjoyed shooting the music video… except for the rainy scenes.
“I was out in the freezing cold. They said [the water] was 90 degrees, but it was 20, or below zero or something [laughs]… when I tell you it was cold…it was cold!”

Adam Levine told Chris Jamison that he was blown away by his smooth performance of his new pop single “Velvet.” The Maroon 5 frontman later dished with reporters on the red carpet, revealing that finding the perfect songs for his contestants was “arduous, long, detailed, and nearly impossible.”
Levine continued, “I scoured the earth. I searched far and wide and found the right songs. I don't know how it happened or if it could happen again. It was like the scene in “Old School” when Will Ferrell debates and he doesn't know where it came from, and he wakes up out of that haze and goes, “What just happened?”

Matt McAndrew told us that singing “Wasted Love” was the “most fulfilling” performance of the night for him. “I'm in a giddy mood. I've already cried and now I'm like 'everything is great.' I'm eating chocolate.”
He added that Adam took the time to listen to hundreds of song submissions to find the right fit. “He told me that he woke up one morning and heard 'Wasted Love' and was like this is really something cool, so I give him a lot of credit for making sure it was the right song for me.”
