Jimmy Kimmel Weighs In on President Trump & Kanye West’s Meeting
Late-night personality Jimmy Kimmel is back home in Brooklyn!
“Extra's” AJ Calloway spoke with Kimmel as he got ready to kick off a week of shows in New York.
Never afraid to speak his mind when it comes to the White House, Kimmel gave his take on Kanye West's meeting with President Trump, saying, "I'd like to see them meet every day. I enjoyed that so much.”
“I would love to see him kick Mike Pence out and slide Kanye in there. I don't know if it's constitutional, but that doesn't seem to be a concern anyway,” he continued. “I don't know how we top Kanye paying a visit and putting on a one-man show, but there's one thing about the Trump Administration — they find a way to top it.”
As for his best frenemy Matt Damon playing Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanagh on “SNL,” Kimmel joked, “Who better to play the repulsive frat boy than Matt Damon… I think it's interesting that they picked the only person worse than Brett Kavanaugh to play him.”
He quipped, “If I was Brett Kavanaugh, I would sue 'Saturday Night Live.' I would take it all the way to the Supreme Court and then rule in my own favor.”
Jimmy also shared a health update on his baby boy Billy, who was born with a rare heart defect. The father of four said, “He's doing great. He eats a lot. He rivals his father as far as eating goes… He's almost 18 months old and he's very healthy and we're very happy.”
Jimmy, who is also happy to be back in Brooklyn with a great lineup, dished on this week's shows, saying, “We're starting it off with Adam Sandler and Eminem… We've got John Krasinski. Julia Louis-Dreyfus… Cardi B will be here.”
Will he get to the bottom of the Cardi B/Nicki Minaj NYFW throw-down? Jimmy laughed, saying, “I'm sure I will. I'll probably get hit with a shoe… I'm interested in anyone's fights... Famous people, yes, that's fun. But even if I'm walking by... if there's a situation going on in a cubicle in our office, I'll be like, 'What's happening? What's going on?' I don't know why. I love it.”
