‘RHONY’ Star Luann de Lesseps on Moving Forward with Her Wedding Amid Cheating Allegations

“Real Housewives of New York” star Luann de Lesseps is busy planning her wedding, and she isn't going to let a little cheating scandal or a former friend and castmate get in the way. “Extra's” AJ Calloway was with Luann in NYC as she shopped for her wedding dress, and got candid about moving forward with her nuptials despite cheating allegations.

The housewife is set to marry Tom D'Agostino, Jr. on New Year's Eve, which will also be his 50th birthday.

The couple, who got engaged in February, faced drama on last week's episode when Bethenny Frankel confronted the countess with photos of D'Agostino, Jr. making out with his ex at New York's Regency Hotel on the eve of his engagement party.

Luann told AJ what was going through her head when the pics surfaced. “I was devastated of course, I was totally shell-shocked, it was very upsetting, it's hard enough to deal with that in private let alone on the show, and so it was tough. Everybody thinks it's real time, it's happening now, but it actually happened six months ago.”

Tom and Luann are moving forward. “Tom and I have worked through it, it's been difficult… I want everyone to know that we've gotten through it and we've decided that we really love each other and we've put it behind us.”

She revealed why she chose to forgive and forget, saying, “I knew in my heart of hearts that Tom loves me… it was something really silly on his part and if he could take it back I know he would. I didn't let that incident change how I felt about him… it made us even stronger.” She added, “I feel I'm not going to let a kiss ruin our future, it wasn't an affair; it was a kiss and I've chosen to forgive him.”

Luann is planning a big, black tie wedding and is looking for several different dresses, since she eloped for her first marriage. The guest list is still in the works, and they are looking at 250 people. Bethenny is not on that list as of now. “For the moment, let's see if there's a turn in that.” Who is on the list from her “Housewives" family? “Dorinda introduced us, she's coming, Kelly Bensimone is coming, Jill is coming so I don't think if I can have Bethenny there if Jill is coming, forget about me… and how can I leave out Sonja.”

She also shared that she may not be back for another season of “RHONY.” “The show has not been great to couples that are on the 'Housewives,' so it's something I'm really considering not coming back to,” she said.
