Amanda Bynes Psych Hold Extended, Parents Granted Conservatorship
The parents of Amanda Bynes were granted another conservatorship, reports TMZ.
In legal documents obtained by TMZ, Rick and Lynn Bynes listed Amanda's erratic behavior, DUI, shoplifting and other bizarre conduct as reasons why she is at “substantial risk.”
Bynes' parents reportedly told the judge that Amanda was spending “alarming amounts” of money, and blowing through her savings. They were particularly concerned about her “extensive” gift giving, including buying jewelry for strangers.
Amanda's net worth is about $5.7 million, and $2.8 million of her fortune is in real estate investments. Her parents said that her only income at this time is from her rental property. She made $144,768 last year.
In addition to the conservatorship, doctors also received a 30-day extension on her involuntary hold at a Pasadena psychiatric facility.
