Farrah Fawcett Foundation to Honor Marcia Cross and Pay Tribute to Mary Willard
Farrah Fawcett passed away 10 years ago, and now her foundation is celebrating her life with a special event.
The Farrah Fawcett Foundation is planning a Tex-Mex Fiesta on September 6 in Beverly Hills to remember Farrah, as well as honor cancer survivor Marcia Cross, and pay tribute to Fred Willard's late wife, philanthropist and writer Mary Willard.
The evening will include dinner by El Cholo, a special musical performance, and a live auction led by George Hamilton. Farrah's “Charlie's Angels” co-star Jaclyn Smith will co-chair the event with Dr. Lawrence Piro.
The special night will also serve as a fundraiser, with proceeds benefiting Stand Up To Cancer.
Fawcett established her foundation after being diagnosed with anal cancer, which is typically caused by the human papillomavirus. She wanted to raise money and support prevention and awareness programs. After Farrah passed away in 2009, Alana Stewart has continued the actress' legacy as foundation president.
