On Thursday, Rosie posted a pic of herself with Chelsea and wrote on Instagram, "chelsea and me - what a difference a year makes #hopelives.”
One year ago, Chelsea went missing for a week after she connected with Steven Sheerer, who she met on Tinder. After she was found safe, Chelsea moved out of Rosie's home and went to live with Sheerer's family in New Jersey. At the time, Rosie's rep said in a statement, "Chelsea made a decision when she turned 18 that she wanted to go to her birth mother."
In October, Chelsea shared a different story to DailyMail.com, saying, "She told me to leave and take my dog. Rosie knew I was planning to leave, that's why I think she kicked me out.”
Despite all the drama, their relationship appears to be moving in a positive direction. In June, Rosie and Chelsea made an appearance at Fran Drescher's Cancer Schmancer Cabaret Cruise event in NYC. A source told Us Weekly, "Rosie then said a few words for an intro and was making the whole crowd laugh before giving a rundown of the other entertainment for the night… Chelsea seemed happy and to be in a great mood.”
In 1997, Rosie and ex-wife Kelli Carpenter adopted Chelsea when she was just 9 weeks old.
