Mama June Speaks Out About Child Molester Scandal
“Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” star Mama June is speaking out about accusations she is dating her ex, child molester Mark McDaniel.
In new videos obtained by MailOnline.com, June is in good spirits, telling paparazzi that the family is doing well, and that she talks to all her kids, even Anna, who was one of McDaniel's victims.
She went on to say, “The protection of my kids is my number one priority… We are handling this as a family matter. We are doing it behind closed doors, that's how I am. I'm very quiet. I love my family... we're handling what happens privately.”
She added that she will grant a full interview about the scandal soon, but “I have to think about my family, my kids, I have a lot of things to think about. My kids are my number one priority.”
A few days ago, Mama June posted a message on Facebook explaining, “The statement of me dating a sex offender is totally untrue. I would not ever, ever, ever, ever put my kids in danger.'”
McDaniels was convicted of abusing Mama June's eldest daughter Anna in 2003 and spent 10 years in prison. While June denies she's seeing the felon, she has been pictured with him in recent months.
TLC cancelled the family's reality show, “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo,” after news of the scandal hit the media.
