Carly Fiorina Trumps the Competition at GOP Debate
Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina stole the spotlight from Donald Trump last night at the GOP debate.
Recently, Trump told Rolling Stone of Fiorina's appearance, "Look at that face! Would anyone vote for that?" Last night, she responded, "I think women all over this country heard very clearly what Mr. Trump said."
After her response, Trump said, "I think she's got a beautiful face and I think she's a beautiful woman."
The three-hour debate had the Republican candidates discussing tough topics, such as immigration, national security, tax policy, abortion, and legalization of marijuana.
Fiorina went after Planned Parenthood, saying, "Watch these tapes. Watch a fully formed fetus on the table, its heart beating, its legs kicking, while someone says, 'We have to keep it alive to harvest its brain.'"
The Donald and Fiorina also slammed each other for their past failures. Donald said about Fiorina's tenure as the head of Hewlett-Packard, "The company is a disaster and continues to be a disaster." She responded about his Atlantic City casinos, "You ran up mountains of debt, as well as losses, using other people's money."
On the issue of substance abuse, Fiorina, who lost a stepdaughter to drugs, said, "We need to tell young people the truth: Drug addiction is an epidemic, and it is taking too many of our young people. I know this, sadly, from personal experience."
While Trump and Fiorina were challenging each other, Hillary Clinton was having fun debating Jimmy Fallon, who was channeling Donald Trump, on "The Tonight Show."
