On Wednesday, Arnold announced that she's expecting her first child with husband Sam Cusick. Along with a pic of herself holding a sonogram, she wrote on Instagram, “Ohhhhhh baby. Mom and Dad love you already.”
Lindsay also revealed that she's due in November.
Earlier this week, Arnold hinted at her “exciting news,” posting, “This guy can barely contain his excitement hahahahaha sleepy Sam.”
After hearing the news, fellow “DWTS” dancer Valentin Chmerkovskiy wrote, “… and finally the world knows. Love you and Sam so much so excited and proud of the both of you. You will be an exceptional mother, and you both will be amazing parents. Health and Love to you guys.”
Val's brother Maksim Chmerkovskiy added, “Sooooooo excited for this child!!!! Congratulations beautiful! You and Sam are going to make amazing parents.”
The baby news comes six months after Lindsay mourned the sudden loss of her mother-in-law. In November, she wrote on Instagram, “I am so saddened to say that my beautiful, loving, selfless mother in law has unexpectedly passed away. Family is the most important thing to me and being with my husband and our family at this time is exactly where I need to be. I want to thank everyone from my @dancingabc family for being so supportive and making it possible for me to be at home with my loved ones during this time.”
A few months ago, Lindsay opened up to People magazine about possible parenthood. She said she and Sam were “not trying to not make anything happen right now. We're just kind of seeing what happens, and we're happy with whatever. We love the idea of having children. It's not something that we're like 'Oh, I don't know, we're on the fence about it.'”
She continued, “And I will say, when you have things like [a loved one dying] happen in your life, it kind of just reminds you and kicks you back into gear of what truly matters. And not to say that work and career and all that isn't important, but really family is the most important thing. That does make us excited and look forward to [kids].”
Lindsay and Sam tied the knot in 2015 at the Salt Lake Temple with 150 guests in attendance.
