Salma Hayek Comes for Trump, Says He Badgered Her for Dates, Planted Gossip Item
He didn't take liberties with her physically, but Donald Trump pestered Salma Hayek for dates and used a tabloid to try to manipulate a "yes" from her, the actress alleges.
People magazine reports Hayek described Trump's boorish alleged behavior in a Radio Centro 93.9 radio interview.
"...He tried to become [my boyfriend's] friend to get my home telephone number. He got my number and he would call me to invite me out," Salma said.
Salma reported that when she refused on the grounds that she had a boyfriend, Trump wouldn't let up, so she made it clear she wouldn't go out with him even if she were single. That's when a tabloid story suddenly appeared, one that got the story a little twisted!
"...Someone told the National Enquirer,” she said. “Someone told the National Enquirer — I'm not going to say who, because you know that whatever he wants to come out comes out in the National Enquirer. It said that he wouldn't go out with me because I was too short."
After the tabloid piece ran, Salma said Trump left her a message about it, implying that she should go out with him just to prove it wrong.
Hayek, a Hillary Clinton supporter, played "SNL" Trump impersonator Alec Baldwn's love interest on "30 Rock" and in the upcoming comedy "Drunk Parents" — that appears to be about as close as The Donald will ever get to The Salma!
