ESPN Reporter Britt McHenry Caught on Camera Berating Towing Company Employee
An explosive video of ESPN reporter Britt McHenry insulting a tow truck employee over her job, education and weight has gone viral.
Trouble began when McHenry's car was towed from an Arlington, VA restaurant earlier this month. When she went to Advanced Towing to pick up her vehicle, the blonde beauty unleashed her fury on Gina Michelle.
Michelle warned McHenry that she was being filmed, but that didn't stop her from going on the attack. Watch the video here.
Her comments included, “I'm in the news sweetheart, I will f**king sue this place,” and “That's why I have a degree and you don't.”
She went on to say, "That's all you care about is taking people's money… with no education, no skill set. Just wanted to clarify that.”
The insults just kept getting worse. "Why? Because I have a brain and you don't?” she said at one point, adding, “I'm on television and you're in a f**king trailer, honey.”
As she walked away she said, “Lose some weight, baby girl.”
Gina has spoken publicly about the incident on Facebook, saying, “Bottom line is she got towed. She should not have left her car unattended in a private lot to patronize another bar. Be angry or upset, you don't insult someone's looks because you think you're above them.”
ESPN has since suspended McHenry, and she has apologized, tweeting, "In an intense and stressful moment, I allowed my emotions to get the best of me and said some insulting and regrettable things. As frustrated as I was, I should always choose to be respectful and take the high road. I am so sorry for my actions and will learn from this mistake.”
