Mariah Carey Thanks Gay Fans for 'Unconditional Love,' Flashes Sparkler, Vamps at GLAAD Awards
Making sure to flash the giant sparkler given to her by billionaire fiancée James Packer, songbird Mariah Carey accepted her Ally Award at the 27th Annual GLAAD Media Awards in style — and with a large dose of humor!
Looking slinky in a sheer, sequined gown, the diva was handed her award by friend and frequent collaborator Lee Daniels, then launched into her own definition of LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning). "I might as well elaborate on it," she joked. "So we got 'L,' legendary; 'G,' gorgeous; 'B,' beautiful, all of you beautiful people; 'T,' tantalizing; and even 'Q,' for quality. Okay?"
Mariah then thanked the black-tie crowd at the Waldorf Astoria in NYC for their "unconditional love" because, "I haven't experienced much of it."
She noted as she left the stage that along with the traditional "love, peace, and harmony," she wished the crowd "boobies and butts," quoting a favorite saying by her 5-year-old son Rocky.

Mariah attended the event with Packer by her side. Other honorees included Robert De Niro, Diane Sawyer, and Caitlyn Jenner.
