Kelly Clarkson’s Husband Brandon Blackstock Responds to Divorce Filing
Kelly Clarkson filed for divorce from Brandon Blackstock on June 4 citing irreconcilable differences, and now her estranged husband has responded.
In court docs obtained by The Blast, Blackstock agrees with Clarkson's request for joint physical and legal custody of their children River Rose, 5, and Remington Alexander, 4.
Like Kelly, he also lists their date of separation as "to be determined."
The singer has asked the court to deny spousal support and uphold their prenuptial agreement. Brandon did not check the box to terminate support, but did check “other” and listed “reserved,” meaning they will need to revisit the issue at a later date.
Kelly Clarkson & Brandon Blackstock’s Split: What Went Wrong?

Another insider told the magazine, “[They've] been like friends for a while… Things had changed in their marriage and the split was a while coming. They both work so hard. It's nearly impossible to enjoy each other, especially with the children needing constant attention.”
Despite the split, Kelly tweeted a big thank you to Brandon after her Daytime Emmy win last month. She wrote, “Thank you so much to @BBlackstock for believing in me & convincing me to do @KellyClarksonTVshow.”
