‘Ted 2’ Star Mark Wahlberg Explains Why The Kids Won’t Be Seeing the Sequel
“Extra's” Renée Bargh caught up with the stars last night at the New York premiere of “Ted 2,” just days after chatting with the cast in London.
Seth MacFarlane, Amanda Seyfried and Mark Wahlberg have been on a world tour promoting the comedy sequel. Mark walked the red carpet with wife, Rhea Durham this time, and explained to Renée why their kids won't be seeing the movie.
“They don't understand,” said the actor. “They see this cute cuddly teddy bear, and they're like 'Dad, why can't we see this movie about you and a teddy bear?'”
He continued, “I'm like the 'Teddy has a potty mouth.'”
Life has changed drastically for thunder buddies John (played by Mark Wahlberg) and best pal Ted (voiced by Seth MacFarlane) in the sequel.
John is now a bachelor, and Ted is married to the woman of his dreams. Problems arise though when the couple decides to adopt a child, but the law declares Ted to be property and not a person. The lovable, yet foulmouthed, teddy bear must now seek legal help from a young lawyer (played by Amanda Seyfried) and a legendary, civil-rights attorney (played by Morgan Freeman) to get the justice he deserves.
“Ted 2” hits theaters June 26.
