John Travolta Wants Worldwide Reunions with Olivia Newton-John
Only “Extra's” Renee Bargh was with John Travolta in Olivia Newton-John's home country of Australia, where he dished on his upcoming reunion with his “Grease” co-star!
The two are joining forces on three Meet 'N' Grease movie Sing-A-Long events in Florida in mid-December: in West Palm Beach, Tampa, and Jacksonville. John shared, “We're doing a Meet 'N' Grease is what we call it, and we're only doing it in Florida to start, see how it goes, and if it goes well, we'll do a lot over the world.”
Travolta is ready to take on the world with his “Grease” co-star, pointing out, “We are almost sold out in the U.S. for the three dates… We'll see how it goes. You know, I know that it's been successful even without us 'cause people do the Hollywood Bowl and I know that it's been good, but we'll see.”
John was celebrating his famous movies — from “Pulp Fiction” to "Saturday Night Fever" — airing on the Foxtel network. As for why he has never regretted turning down a role, Travolta said, "I've always loved the replacement role."
“Well, let's say instead of a 'Green Mile,' I think I did 'Primary Colors,' instead of 'An Officer and a Gentleman,' I did 'Urban Cowboy'… So, you know, I don't mind my replacement things at all,” John elaborated.
Travolta, who has been recognized for his acting for decades, was recently honored at the Rome Film Festival for his role in “The Fanatic.” He commented, “Just got the Best Actor [Award]… It was awesome — I loved it. It was a great honor.”
What's next for him? "Lots of things," he teased, "and I'm just taking my time to decide. At my age, you slow down [and ask yourself], 'What do I really want to do?'”
