'Mannix' Star Mike Connors Dead at 91

Mike Connors, who starred in the title role on the long-running (1967-1975) TV series "Mannix," has died at age 91. Variety reports Connors was diagnosed with leukemia just last week.
Connors' Golden Globe-winning performance on "Mannix" established the character as one of TV's ultimate tough-guy detectives.
Along with dozens of appearances on popular TV shows like "Cheyenne," "Here's Lucy" and "Murder, She Wrote," Connors had a thriving film career in the '50s and '60s. He starred opposite Hollywood legends Joan Crawford in "Sudden Fear" (1952) and Bette Davis in "Where Love Has Gone" (1964).
His final role was a surprise appearance on the sitcom "Two and a Half Men" in 2007.
Connors is survived by his wife of nearly 70 years, Mary Lou; his daughter Dena and her husband Mike Condon; and his granddaughter Cooper.
