Mariah Finally Makes It Official with 'My Boyfriend' Bryan Tanaka
Though it has been the worst-kept secret in show biz, it is a secret no more — Mariah Carey has (subtly) confirmed that backup dancer Bryan Tanaka is, indeed, her man.
People magazine reports that Carey let the cat out of the wide-open bag during an interview with the AP. Ironically, she did it while trying to stress that she wanted to keep her private life private.
Asked whether she and Tanaka were an item, Mariah told the outlet, "I'm just going to be like, 'I really don't talk about my personal life.' Because that's what I used to do and it really worked for a minute, back, a while ago. I just don't feel comfortable talking about my personal life... Me and my boyfriend don't want to do that."
Straight from the diva herself, Tanaka is her "boyfriend." Just don't ask her to talk about it.
Mariah and Tanaka have been romancing each other fairly publicly for months, ever since her engagement to billionaire James Packer ended in October. The romance has been documented on her popular E! docu-series "Mariah's World."
