Nick Gordon Tells Dr. Phil the Events Leading Up to Bobbi Kristina Being Found in Tub

Bobbi Kristina Brown's boyfriend Nick Gordon sat down with Dr. Phil this week for a two-part interview.

In Friday's episode, Nick detailed the events leading up to Krissy being found facedown and unconscious in the bathtub of her Georgia home.

When Dr. Phil asked what happened, Gordon blamed the tragedy on a “drug overdose.”

The night before Bobbi Kristina was found, Nick says he went to a club with a friend, and Krissy wasn't with him. “That's where she got upset. She thought I was with chicks. She heard some female voices in the background. She thought I was with girls. She said you need to come home, whatever, whatever. So I got home. We had a slight argument. We cleared things up.”

Gordon went on to explain that he got home around 4 a.m. and that he saw bottles of wine sitting out, adding that Bobbi Kristina seemed “messed up.”

He said they argued for about 15 minutes, then went upstairs for about 45 minutes “doing what adults do.”

Afterward, he went downstairs to play PS4. “She was doing her own thing… getting up, getting dressed.”

Gordon said he was downstairs until a cable rep arrived to install some equipment around 10 or 10:30 a.m. There were two friends in the home at the time, a male and female. The male friend showed the cable rep into Nick and Bobbi's room, and that's when the friend found Bobbi Kristina in the bathtub.

Nick recalled his reaction when he saw Bobbi in the tub, “It was literally -- it was a nightmare all over again… it was so traumatizing. Nothing went through my head. I dropped down to my knees, and I just started giving compressions as hard as I could and blowing in her mouth. I remember this. Every time I blew in, she blew out and she would make this weird noise. I can't get it out of my head. There was like a sigh of relief at one point. She spit up water. She did it on her own. I thought she was going to wake up. You know, that never happened.”

When Dr. Phil asked at what point Gordon knew Bobbi had taken drugs, he said not until she was found in the bathtub.

Gordon later noted that he and Bobbi didn't typically take baths without each other. Not after Bobbi's mom Whitney Houston was found dead in a bathtub three years earlier. “Neither of us, after that happened, neither of us would take a bath without both [of us]… we were traumatized with the tub thing.”

He also revealed this wasn't the first time this had happened to Brown. The night before Whitney died, Bobbi Kristina was found unconscious in a bathtub at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. “The night before Whitney drowned, Krissy did the same thing in the hotel. The whole hotel floor was soaked. She had drank too much... ended up passing out in the tub.”

He continued, “Whitney found her in there… she laid down with her baby and just held her.”
