Michael Douglas & Catherine Zeta Jones’ Kids Were Grossed Out by Their Aspen Engagement Story
On Thursday night, Michael Douglas hit the red carpet solo for the Reel Stories, Real Lives event benefiting the motion picture and television fund, a organization near and dear to his heart.
Another thing he is passionate about is his wife of 15 years, Catherine Zeta Jones. Michael and Catherine recently returned to Aspen, Colorado, the place where they got engaged and showed their children, Dylan and Carys, where he got down on one knee.
He told “Extra” about the spring break vacation, “It was treat, we hadn't been back to Aspen for a long time.”
Douglas revealed the kids weren't necessarily impressed by the nostalgia. He said, “The kids found it a little… 'so this is where I proposed'… 'oh, this is gross.'” He added, “We had a great time, it was nice to get back, we had a nice spring holiday, the kids are in great shape.”
Aside from spending previous time with his family, the 71-year-old is happy to help other actors and actresses. He said, “We are one of the few industries that actually takes care of their own… This event, Reel Lives, Reel Stories, is the first time we've been able to reach out to the younger members of our industry… They are situations where people fall on tough times and that's why this place is fantastic.”
