How Ben Affleck Is Coping Post-Split
Actor Ben Affleck is reportedly “devastated” following the split from wife Jennifer Garner.
A source tells People, "He's devastated. Nobody intends to go down this path. They both battled, and he really battled to try and save the marriage, but ultimately it was the best thing for the kids and for him and Jen."
The insider continued, "They've been separated for 10 months, but he was living at the house. These are things that they have consciously done because they want to make sure that this is as easy as they can make it on the kids."
Affleck and Garner are reportedly using a mediator to split their $150-million fortune, and plan to co-parent their three children, Violet, 9, Seraphina, 6, and Samuel, 3.
"These are two people who really tried to save their marriage and worked really hard at it," the source added. “Ultimately, they had grown apart and they did what was best for their kids."
According to Deadline, Ben's first appearance since announcing the split will be at Comic-Con in San Diego to promote “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.”
