Ewan McGregor Thanked Estranged Wife and Reported GF in Globes Acceptance Speech
Actor Ewan McGregor's Golden Globes speech is making headlines.
The “Fargo” star, who won Best Performance by an Actor in a Limited Series or a Motion Picture Made for Television, thanked his estranged wife, Eve Mavrakis, and his co-star and rumored girlfriend Mary Elizabeth Winstead.
The 46-year-old started out by saying, “I want to take a moment to thank Ev, who always stood beside me for 22 years, and my four children — I love you.”
In a surprise move, he also thanked Mary, saying, “I've always loved being an actor and hanging out with actors and I got amazing actors to work with… and there would be no Ray without Mary Elizabeth Winstead, so thank you very much.”
McGregor plays twins Ray and Emmit Stussy in the FX show, and Mary plays Ray's girlfriend Nikki Swango.
Ewan and Eve announced their split in October. They had reportedly been separated since May.
The news broke after The Sun published photos of McGregor kissing Winstead at a West London café.
Winstead and husband Riley Stearns broke up in May after seven years of marriage.
