'RHOC's' Kelly Dodd Walks Us Through Her Proposal!
"The Real Housewives of Orange County's" Kelly Dodd showed off her massive engagement ring at BravoCon Friday!
The reality star, 44, got engaged to Fox News correspondent Rick Leventhal, 59, earlier this week, and she told "Extra" all about it. "I'm very much happily in love," she said. "I came into town on Wednesday night, he picks me up at the St. Regis, he takes me back to his house, he has an outdoor terrace... He got on one knee, he said, 'You are the love of my life,' and he popped the question."
Was it a surprise? "I had no idea," she admitted.
Still, she did know that a proposal was coming — eventually. "I picked out the ring, but I didn't know when he was going to do it. I figured it was Christmas." They've already set a date: "He wants to do it 10/10/2020."
As for a bridal party, "Dorinda [Medley] wants to officiate it. Ramona [Singer] hooked my fiancé and I up, so she wants to be in it — I told her she would, Braunwyn [Windham-Burke] and Emily [Simpson] would be in it."
Pointing out that Rick works for Fox in NYC, Kelly joked that she might need a job transfer — to become one of "The Real Housewives of New York City"!
This will be Rick's third marriage — he was married to reporter Penny Daniels, with whom he has two adult children, and for less than a year to poker pro Beth Shak. Kelly was formerly married to LeapFrog VP Michael Dodd, but announced early last year that their 11-year union had been officially dissolved.
