Lindsay Lohan on Islam Rumors, Donald Trump, & Love
Last month, Lindsay Lohan sparked rumors that she converted to Islam, and now she's ready address the reports.
On Friday, Lohan visited Dailymail.com's offices in NY, where she discussed religion, politics, and her love life.
After numerous fans asked if she had converted to Islam, she revealed that she hasn't, but has not ruled it out. Lohan explained, "I've studied the Quran for quite some time. It's a process to convert to anything. I respect all religions... it's a beautiful religion and i am a very spiritual person... it's something I've been studying. You cant just convert overnight to a religion.”
She went on, "Anything's possible; this is more of a personal journey. A lot of different religions and spiritualities appeal to me.”
Of her attraction to Islam, she shared, "I really admired that, and found solace in it."
Though much of Hollywood has disapproved of Trump's presidency, Lohan is taking a different stance. She commented, "He is the president – we have to join him. If you cant beat him, join him.”
She even urged President Trump to visit Turkey, which has been a safe haven for Syrian refugees. The 30-year-old, who recently visited the country, pointed out, "I think it would be a positive thing for America to show their care and support, and for him to experience what it's like for these people... experience how giving Turkey has been to the refugees and how many they have welcomed in.”
Lindsay recently made headlines for her accent, which was dubbed “Lilohan." When asked about it, she responded, "I was learning Arabic and Russian, and I studied french for nine years… I was also picking up on some Turkish, and then Greek... when I'm around different people and different places I tend to change and talk very quickly... things come out and a flip into [accents] depending on who I'm with. You acquire different dialects.”
As for her love life, she revealed, "I'm dating myself. I don't have a Valentine."
