Kim K on That Bootytastic Pic with J.Lo, Helping Bruce Find His Style, and ‘Selfish'
“Extra's” AJ Calloway caught up with Kim Kardashian at her “Selfish” book signing in NYC and got the scoop on her bootytastic Met Gala pic with Jennifer Lopez, finding a glam team for Bruce Jenner, and her new book.
She told AJ that when Kanye saw her and J.Lo walking arm-in-arm at the event – Kim in a see-through gown with a feather train, and J.Lo in a sheer Versace dragon dress -- he said, “I've got to get this moment.” Kim shared the hot pic on Instgram, calling Lopez her “idol."

While she loved Jennifer's Met Gala look, Kim thought her sister Kendall was best-dressed in Calvin Klein. “I hate to pick a family member, but I really loved Kendall's look. I thought she looked like a '90s supermodel… it wasn't too over-the-top, but it was green, all jeweled, her makeup was really pretty.”
If she had to pick a non-family member, it would be Sarah Jessica Parker. “She goes all out. There is really no Met Ball without Sarah Jessica Parker.”

Kim's own look was inspired by Cher, one of her personal icons who she got to meet at the gala.
“I was so excited. I had no idea she would be there. I've had this reference on my computer of Cher. I had no idea it was a picture of her from the first ever Met Ball, so that was really cool. I had to meet her and tell her that my dress was inspired by her. I wanted sheer and white feathers. [Cher] said, 'Oh my God, it's the Bob Mackie gown. That was the first Met Ball in 1974.' She told me the whole story around it. That was a special moment for me.”

Speaking of glam, Kim told AJ that she is helping stepdad Bruce find his style.
“I'm trying to hook him up with designers now,” she explained. “I said my only concern is that you do not steal my glam team. I will find you a glam team. I will get you whatever you need. I will be there, I will test it all out with you, you just can't steal my glam team… but if you are going to do this, you have to do it right. You have to look amazing, and I'll help you.”
She added that Bruce is doing well since he opened up to Diane Sawyer and the world about wanting to transition. “He can feel the love and he can feel the support, and that makes him so happy.”
Kardashian added that the whole family hopes they can help others going through similar experiences. “There is a whole deeper side to this that we really, and Bruce especially wants to help inform other family members that are going through this... that you can get through this. There might be some struggles, there might be different emotions. Every family member has a different reaction, but we filmed this at a time months ago that it was so raw, and Bruce was making this decision and we were helping him get through. He was helping us get through it. Our goal is just to help other families get through something similar to really support each other, come together… they are not alone.”
When Calloway asked about her new book of selfies, “Selfish,” she revealed, "My first selfie was in 1984, and that opens the book, and it is in chronological order. Then I start in 2006 when I started to take a lot of photos and selfies."
The book includes a collection of sexy selfies, and even some from the iCloud photo hack! “Every girl would be lying if they said they didn't take a ton of sexy selfies.”
Kim added that the book was actually Kanye's idea. “I thought it was a great and clever idea, so he connected me with a book publisher and we made it happen.”
