Tragic Details Surrounding 22-Year-Old Comedian Eurydice Dixon’s Murder

The comedy community is in mourning after Eurydice Dixon, 22, was murdered in Melbourne this week.
Dixon had performed a comedy show at Highlander Bar on Tuesday night and headed out to get some food with friend Tony Magnuson around 10:30 p.m.
Afterward, they parted ways. Magnuson told The Age newspaper, “She gave me a hug, blew me a kiss and said she was going for a walk.”
Around midnight, Dixon sent Magnuson a Facebook message saying, “I'm almost home safe, HBU [how about you].”
Dixon never made it home. A passerby found her body the next morning on a soccer field at Princes Park, just blocks from her house.
Since then, a man named Jaymes Todd, 19, has turned himself into police. He was arrested for her rape and murder, and appeared in court on Thursday. The Australian reports he was not asked to enter a plea. He will return to court in October.
