Olivia Newton-John Breaks Silence on Mysterious Disappearance of Ex-BF

Actress Olivia Newton-John is speaking out for the first time in years about what she thinks happened to her ex-boyfriend Patrick McDermott, who disappeared in 2005.
Olivia and Patrick dated off and on for nine years. He reportedly fell overboard while on a fishing trip to San Pedro, California, but it was later alleged that he faked his own death to dodge debt and has been living in Mexico ever since.
Olivia tells Australia's “60 Minutes” what happened to McDermott is still a mystery to her.
“It was very hard. He was lost at sea, and nobody really knows what happened,” she said.
The star acknowledged that it is “human to wonder” about his whereabouts. “Those are the things in life you have to accept and let go. Because whenever you go through difficult times, there's always those concerns.”
Newton-John continued, “But, I live on, and of course questions come up, always. It's human.”
