The actor, who plays Hefty in the new “Smurfs” movie, told “Extra's" Terri Seymour that it was his idea to call it Joechella. He shared, “I just knew that I was gonna have Steel Panther play at the party so a friend of mine, we were going back and forth with what to call it and we came up with… the Joechella Music & Arts Festival.”
Joe spent the night dancing with his gorgeous wife Sofia Vergara, even singing to her! He commented, “At my wedding I sang 'Sweet Child o' Mine' to my wife… They played 'Sweet Child o' Mine,' so I had to get up and sing that. They did a heavy metal, '80s kind of White Snake version of 'I Want It That Way' from the Backstreet Boys, my director from 'Magic Mike XXX' was there and I wound up onstage for that and he filmed it.”
“It was a blast — great party!” Joe added.
Manganiello also had fun cheering on his hometown team, the Pittsburgh Steelers. “We're going to the AFC Championship this weekend and I'm gonna be there rooting them on… I think Big Ben is due for a big game.” Though he'll be leaving Sofia at home, his brother will be joining him.
As for “Smurfs: The Lost Village,” Joe said he actually has a lot in common with his character. “He's very chivalrous and he is a closet romantic.”
"Smurfs: The Lost Village” hits theaters April 7.
