Stars React to Horrific Florida School Shooting

On Wednesday, a mass shooting took place at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida.
Nikolas Cruz, 19, a former student, was arrested after allegedly shooting up the school with a semi-automatic rifle. The massacre killed 17 people, making it the deadliest school shooting in the U.S. since 2012.
Many stars took to social media to express their sadness over the tragedy, which wounded at least 14 people.
Ellen DeGeneres tweeted, “No words, no actions, no laws are enough until we end this epidemic of school shootings in our country. My heart is with the students and parents of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School."
Kim Kardashian added, “We owe it to our children and our teachers to keep them safe while at school. Prayers won't do this: action will. Congress, please do your job and protect Americans from senseless gun violence."

On Thursday, President Donald Trump addressed the nation, saying, “We are all joined together as one American family, and your suffering is our burden also. No child, no teacher should ever be in danger in an American school. No parent should ever have to fear for their sons and daughters when they kiss them goodbye in the morning. Each person stolen from us yesterday had a full life ahead of them, filled with wondrous beauty and unlimited promise. Each had dreams to pursue.”
