Stars React to Horrific Florida School Shooting
On Wednesday, a mass shooting took place at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida.
Nikolas Cruz, 19, a former student, was arrested after allegedly shooting up the school with a semi-automatic rifle. The massacre killed 17 people, making it the deadliest school shooting in the U.S. since 2012.
Many stars took to social media to express their sadness over the tragedy, which wounded at least 14 people.
Ellen DeGeneres tweeted, “No words, no actions, no laws are enough until we end this epidemic of school shootings in our country. My heart is with the students and parents of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School."
Kim Kardashian added, “We owe it to our children and our teachers to keep them safe while at school. Prayers won't do this: action will. Congress, please do your job and protect Americans from senseless gun violence."

If only you actually wrote this. When the grammar is perfect we know you didn't because you are an idiot. You are a dangerous idiot who is too much of a coward to reject the NRA. All of this blood is on your hands. You set the agenda. https://t.co/ODsSLr9yVo
@JuddApatow
We have to elect candidates that are not funded by the NRA in November. We have an opportunity to elect candidates who won't allow kids to go to school and get shot. It is disgusting how many times this has happened and Republicans do nothing. You all have blood on your hands.

Heard the word “tragedy” 100 times already about the school shooting - not really, by the classical definition: tragedy is fated and inevitable. This isn't inevitable. This is America.

NRA MEMBERS,
@Alyssa_Milano
No more. Not. One. More.
We are screaming. No one is listening. Children are dying.
NRA members, please demand safety reform and sensible #guncontrol. Put your foot down or this nightmare will never end.
We need your help. Hold NRA leadership accountable. pic.twitter.com/H9XpqheZsZ
Heartbroken over the news of another school shooting. This is the 18th in 45 days of 2018. Students & teachers shouldn't have to fear for their safety. We must do more to prevent these senseless acts of gun violence. My heart is w/ the people in Parkland, FL. Enough is enough.
@RWitherspoon
Prayers without accordant action are silent lies told to oneself, heard by no God, amounting to nothing. Action is the language of truth, the prayers of the Saints.
@MarkRuffalo
And on this day that we should be celebrating love, my beloved Florida is once again assaulted by gun violence. Yet again senseless misery is inflicted on the loved ones of innocent victims whose only fear should have been not being able to finish their homework.😔🙏🏻What now?

On Thursday, President Donald Trump addressed the nation, saying, “We are all joined together as one American family, and your suffering is our burden also. No child, no teacher should ever be in danger in an American school. No parent should ever have to fear for their sons and daughters when they kiss them goodbye in the morning. Each person stolen from us yesterday had a full life ahead of them, filled with wondrous beauty and unlimited promise. Each had dreams to pursue.”
