Martha Stewart’s Response to Snoop Dogg’s Comments About Gayle King
Sunday night, “Martha & Snoop's Potluck Party” host Martha Stewart stepped out for the Vanity Fair Oscar Party, where she weighed in on Snoop Dogg's recent comments about Gayle King's interview with WNBA player Lisa Leslie.
Last week, Snoop expressed his strong disapproval of King after seeing a clip of her “CBS This Morning” interview, where she brought up Kobe Bryant's 2003 court case. Gayle defended herself, pointing out that the clip was “totally taken out of context.” She added, “For the network to take the most salacious part, when taken out of context, and put it up online for people who didn't see the whole interview is very upsetting to me and that's something I'm going to have to deal with, with them. There will be a very intense discussion about that."
Martha told “Extra's” Terri Seymour, “Snoop speaks for himself. Read his comments.”
As for her take on the Academy Awards, Stewart said she was happy that Brad Pitt won for his supporting role in “Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood.” She said, “I thought he would win… I was really happy Laura Dern won.”
Stewart also shared her thoughts on Best Picture winner “Parasite.” She commented, “I'm not sold on the 'Parasite.' It's a well-made movie, don't get me wrong, I just don't like the story; I don't like people being taken advantage of like that.”
Which film was she rooting for to win Best Picture? She answered, “1917.”
