Report: Sean Penn Takes Steps to Adopt Charlize Theron’s Son
It looks like Sean Penn and girlfriend Charlize Theron are indeed taking their relationship to a more committed level.
A source told People.com that Penn has filed papers to adopt Theron's 3-year-old son, Jackson.
"Charlize and Sean are very serious," a source close to Theron told People. "Charlize says this is it. Jackson already calls Sean daddy. This is the first step toward them getting married."
When “Extra's” Jerry Penacoli recently told Penn how happy he looked, Penn replied, “I can't imagine why… she and I have been very, very longtime friends. We hit a speed bump and must have lost our minds, so here we are.”
Theron adopted Jackson in early 2012, when he was 4 months old. Penn has a daughter, Dylan, 23, and son, Hopper, 21, from his marriage to Robin Wright.
