James Corden on Hosting Grammys 2018, Plus: His New Baby Girl
"The Late Late Show's” host James Corden is ready to rock music's biggest night, the 61st Annual Grammy Awards!
"Extra's” AJ Calloway chatted with Corden, who revealed how he is getting ready for Sunday's show in NYC, and how his new baby girl is doing.
James just welcomed his third child with wife Julia, who is doing most of the heavy lifting while he is working. He said, “I got more sleep last night than my wife did, so I can't really moan about it 'cause I just FaceTimed her and I was about to say the phrase, 'Oh, I feel tired,' and I realized I left her in Los Angeles with a three-year-old, six-year-old and a five-week-old baby and I learned that is not something you can really say.”
Of his bundle of joy, Charlotte, James gushed, “She's lovely, she's really beautiful, and I feel very, very, blessed and I miss them very much.”
While Corden still gets nervous, he is calling the Grammys a different kind of show. He explained, “This one is about the music, it's about the performances, it's very rare to come away from the Grammys going, 'Ahhh... what about the host?'"

View StoryHe played coy about who will open the show, but teased, “We had an idea for what we were going to do for our opening introduction, we read an outline of what this artist was doing and who he was collaborating with on it, and we went, 'We can't follow that.' So... I'm not even really being introduced. We are just gonna start on the floor... Your job as a host is to play a show.”
